Effects of load types and critical molar ratios on strength properties and geopolymerization mechanism

Abstract In this study, the effect of SiO 2 /Al O 3 (S/A), Na O/Al (N/A) and H O/Na (H/N) molar ratios on bending compressive strength geopolymer were investigated. The geopolymerization mechanism was also analyzed from microstructure difference by FTIR. experimental results showed that has an opposite reaction under different critical ratios. increase S/A ratio decrease N/A H/N have resulted in strength. However, it caused a noticeable indicated degree polymerization cohesion systematical depending these ratios, making mechanical properties susceptible to types loads. This paper reveals relationship between helps selectively prepare corresponding for loading patterns.
